Happy Tuesday guys! Recently I saw a video of the insanely talented @kimbra trying out the #Maschine from @nativeinstruments and I wanted to have an excuse to test out the new GK Plex* as a DI box! It is bonkers how amazing the direct signal from this preamp sounds and I'm loving every second of it! This also gave me an opportunity to mess around with chords, which is always fun! Not just because she’s a fellow Kiwi, but her journey has inspired me since her first album ‘Vows’ came out. I love how she flitters across so many genres, and experiments with different technologies and sounds in all her albums. Her voice and style is so unique and I cannot wait for whatever is next in store from her. It was hard to choose a song from her catalogue to sing for you today, but I chose ‘Everybody Knows’ from her last album “Primal Heart” because it is soulful and lyrically heavy.
