Self-duets
Did you ever dreamt of a duet performed live by Kimbra and herself? I mean a true duet, not just a song with layered vocal loops... No need to imagine. This gives us a glimpse of what it could be like.
Jam session
An image can't catch the spirit of a jam session. But it's so tempting to try it...
Jam session at Funky Claude's Lounge (Montreux), July 15th, 2012.
From left to right, Joey Gonzalez, Brandon Gilliard, Mikey Phillips (on Drums), Mr. ? (does anyone know his name, please?), Kimbra, Marcus Lewis and Lance Powlis.

Stripping down Kimbra's "Good Intent"

How to recognize true talented artists? Forget about the sophisticated studio produced tracks and don't get dazzled by the customary awesome promotional videos. Just manage to listen to stripped down performances of their songs, live, unplugged. No crews of musicians nor piles of instruments behind which to hide. If the artist still shines then you found it!
(But don't take this too seriously. I know for sure that we woudn't be convinced by a solo-show of a certain Beethoven humming Symphony No. 5 only accompanied by a tambourine.)
The Build Up
We already knew that music criticism is not an exact science...
"...tumbling away to tracks like The Build Up, little better than a demo, and so minimal it's in danger of disappearing away into nothing".
(Laurence Green's review of Vows in musicOMH).
" The best thing by a mile is the creaking folk of The Build Up - recalling the Gotye duet in its minimalism".
(Ally Carnwath for The Guardian/The Observer - review of two stars out of five -).
Ils ont changé ma chanson
Sometimes songs break free, for better or worse, and there's nothing their parents can do about it.
This is just an improvised parade of "Somebody That I Used To Know" parodies. In case you missed the real thing, check out the official video of the Gotye song (feat. Kimbra).
The soundtrack of this video is "What have they done to my Song, Ma?", a good old song by Melanie Safka.
